No photos, but 2 new PRs

I think John took 11 minutes off of his 1/2 marathon PR and I cut 4:57 off of mine.

Dave, well, he's just too fast already to make that kind of progress.

Nice seeing the gents out for beer afterwards. Mmmm, potato pancakes....

1LT Mark Dooley 5k

Been a busy few days, but wanted to get this out...

Last weekend Katie and I hit the road to race in the LT Mark Dooley 5k "Race of Remembrance" in Wilmington, VT. The race is in honor of my friend Mark, who was killed in Iraq on September 19th, 2005, while serving with the Vermont National Guard. The race also honors all of the fallen of Vermont, and their families.

It was a great day with many old friends, and the Hashers were represented two years in a row. Everyone missed John this year, but were a little relieved I didn't bring up "the ringer" again! However, the Dance did travel north again....more on that....much later.

Please visit www.markdooley5k.com for more information about the race, which will be held annually.

Also, take time to visit the Vermont Fallen Families Global War on Terror Memorial at vtfallenfamilies.org, which will be dedicated on Veterans Day.

Results of the race can be found at www.coolrunning.com/results/10/vt/Sep19_LtMark_set1.shtml

(Sorry, I couldn't get the links to work)

Busy Labor Day Weekend for the Hashers!

The Labor Day Hash was a great time, with Brian laying a pretty "Shiggy Trail" which by the time we got to the beer check left us a little beat up, but loving it ! (See above picture ) Afterwards we were treated to a great BBQ at Brian and Katie's home, and of course a few beers..... Oh and by the way, Dave I left your sneakers in my driveway, Im not touching them after Englishman drank a beer out of them......

On September 4th, Highland Hasher Sean Gavor ran 20:03 at the Warinanco Park 5K XC series, finishing 7th overall. Then he decided to run the Woodbridge 10K race on September 5th running 39:49 , finishing 20th overall.... He did by the way take gold both days in his age group!
Sean missing a hash run , because of a football draft, will most certainly get you called out in the next circle, be prepared......

On a side note..... Highland Hasher friend Ben Clarke defended his title for the second straight year at the Verona Labor Day 5K , winning in 16:00.61 .... Geez man you couldnt break 16? ... only kidding , great job! I hope we can get you out on the next hash run!

Upcoming however we have a fairly large group heading out to the Liberty Half-Marathon on the 26th, so come hang with us! Then afterwards we are heading to Germania Park for Oktoberfest !

Seriously folks, if your looking for a fun running group to hang with, come join us !
