Some math

This topic came up over Smithwyck's. For the record, I'm on day 343 - running a minimum of 1 mile on days that I'm is either sick or injured in some way. So far the weekly mileage is averaging 37.7 miles and the daily average is 5.4. Many articles warn against "streaking," but here it seems to be paying off in terms of motivation. For years I've been mediocre, completing lots of marathons, but on 4 to 5 day training weeks and precious little total mileage. 3 weeks left to bump up the weekly avg to an even 38. No age jokes please. - Dave

Club Night

5 mile loop... oh about 45 minutes give or take. Adult beverages.... oh about 2.75 hours longer. I think we can now handicap this thing. Anywhooo. Special props to Ron, veteran of the 2009 Turkey Swamp, Mountain Madness, and JFK50, for his lengthy drive for such a short run. The other guys just know how to BS really well. L-R Brian, John, Dave, Gene, Ron.
