Old Man Strength, the A8K Edition. (Revised)

Time: 30:38.13 (unless you go by chip time, in which case the time is 30:34.81)

Place: 82/1307 (12/183 Men 40-44) Good enough for a mug, a handshake from Horace Ashenfelter himself, and THIS IS NOW OFFICIAL: 669 Grand Prix Points (bringing my total to 5019).

Age Graded PLP: 73.24, my best performance in any race.

To say that I am pleased with the result is an understatement.

Good job, Bob. Was it a pace PR too?

Yes, this is my fastest 8K ever.

That is to say, it is the first 8K I have ever run.
I did check my watch at the 5K mark, and was faster than my best time for that distance by about 30 seconds.

I don't see any reason why the Highlands Hashers don't earn 4 or 5 mugs next year.
