Polar Bear Races 2012 - A fine showing

We had a good group travel to Asbury Park for the annual Polar Bear Races. The boardwalk south of the convention center was under repair, so we headed north for a bit and then hooked left in the winds of Valhalla and the sands of the Sahara. We all got our 3.3 mile PR. Bob took home a confused dark furred bear (actually two if you look close.) by claiming 3d in the old guy category. Butters is to be complimented for suggesting Pete and Elda's for the XXL pizza eating challenge. Hey, at least we brought home t-shirts. A fine fun day to end the season. Happy New Year! [no, we did not plunge this year. Sorry. Call us what you will. We who wore shorts for the race are still picking the sand out of the pores.]

When you look at the official results, there are no double awards given.
This means that I should have been first in the men 40-49 group, and Dave should have been second(and we should have brought home 2 polar bear awards yesterday).

Also, it looks like a couple people crossed the finish line before completing 4 loops on the course. This bumps us all up two spots in the standings (hooray!)
